Irene M. Bainbridge, 77, recently of Virginia Beach, VA, and Edgewater, FL, formerly of Weirton, WV, died at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at her current home in Virginia Beach. She was born November 21, 1925, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Alec and Rose Berta, who both immigrated from Hungary in the early 1900s. Mrs. Bainbridge resided most of her life, and raised her family, in Weirton. She was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church, and a 1944 graduate of Follansbee High School. She was married July 30, 1950, to the late Charles R. (Dick) Bainbridge. She was preceded by her daughter, Karen, and her brother Alec, Jr., and is survived by two sons; Jim Bainbridge of Weirton, and Rick Bainbridge of Virginia Beach, VA, and three granddaughters: Rachel of Weirton, and Cheryl and Leigh of Virginia Beach. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Diabetes Association, 1221A Ohio Avenue, P.O. Box 1115, Dunbar, WV 25064, or the American Cancer Society, Hancock County Unit, P.O.
