Isadore H. Monseau

Isadore H. Monseau, 87, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2015 in the Life Line Hospital, Wintersville, OH. He was born June 7, 1927 in Cecil, PA, a son of the late Sydney Isadore and Mary Spencer Monseau. He was also preceded in death by his wife Irene E Monseau on July 27, 2006, sisters Blanche Brestle, Isabelle Bates, Katherine Craig, Alberta Mecannic, Donna Baker and Mary Jane DiGiovanni and a brother , Albert Monseau. With over 29 years of service, Izzy retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a boiler repairman. He was a member of the Paris Church of the Nazarene, WSX 25-Year Club, Gideons and Hot Rod Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He loved restoring old cars and owned a 1940 Ford sedan. Most days, you could find him at Country Friends or Eat N Park having a meal and conversation with his friends. He served in the US Army during World War II. Isadore is survived by his sons Kenneth (Beth) Monseau of Richmond, OH, Donald (Darla) Monseau of New Cumberland, WV, Curtis Monseau of Richmond, OH and Jerry (Karen) Monseau of Paris, PA; daughter Sherry A. Fisher of Paris, PA; sister, Delores Baker of Frankfort Springs, PA; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday 1-3 and 6-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 until the 11am funeral service at the Paris Church of the Nazarene. Reverend Dana Snodgrass will officiate. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery.
