Jack Andrew Gaydos, 78 of Weirton passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Valley Hospice of Steubenville. He was born June 5, 1941 in Steubenville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Frances Cercone Gaydos. Jack retired form Weirton Steel with 37 years of service. Jack and his son Keith owned and operated Penn Avenue Collision in Chester, which he was very proud of his son’s business accomplishments. He volunteered over 30 years as treasure for Oak Glen Touchdown Club. Jack was a friend to all, if you knew Jack, he was your friend. He is survived by his wife Darlene Gaydos; son Keith Gaydos of New Cumberland; adopted son John DelGuzzo of East Liverpool, OH; sister Shirley Washam and her companion Anthony Vagnozzi of Weirton and his beloved dog Angel. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where Parastas services will be held at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Father Vasyl Symyon will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.   5. Jack was a huge advocate of Oak Glen Football. He always wanted what was best for the players and coaches. No matter how the season was going, Jack always had a positive comment about the team.
