Jack Cain, 81, of Colliers, WV, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2107, in Weirton Medical Center. Born December 31, 1935, in Wetzel County, WV, he was a son of the late Francis and Jessie Shreve Cain. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and David Cain. Jack retired as an operator from Veolia Water after 40 years of service. He was a member of Colliers Christian Church. An avid outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed hunting and trapping, and was President of the Northern Panhandle Trappers Assoc., and a member of the Colliers Sportsmans Club. He was also Vice President of the Colliers V.F.D. for several years, State Life membership in Colliers PTA, Goodwill Grange #499, Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack 51 and Colliers Alumni. Jack will be remembered for his volunteer work in his community. You could always find him helping someone in need. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Carol Ensminger Cain; son Timothy (Anita) Cain of Colliers; sisters Patricia "Patsy" Starkey of New Martinsville, WV, and Kay (Robert) Anderson of Warren, OH; and a step grandson, Zachary Ferrari. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM. Pastor Earl Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Colliers Christian Church, Box 183, Colliers, WV, 26035.
