James A. Duvall, 89, of Weirton died Saturday June 6, 2020, complications from cancer and COPD. Born on August 6, 1930 in Stratton, OH, James was a son of the late Steven A. and Olive Crago Duvall. A veteran of the United States Army, Jimmy provided for his family by driving a truck. He drove briefly for Weir Cove and, for over 30 years, drove for AIRCO Industrial Gases. In his retirement years, he drove for McCauslen and McCauslen Any Occasion Florists for over a decade. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling at Holiday Lanes and Steel Valley Lanes in Weirton. He also enjoyed drinking coffee at Burger King with the guys. At home, he enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. He could sniff out any sweet in the house, but never eating the last one. Most of all Jimmy will be remembered for his loving and generous nature. He was very reliable and would do anything for anybody. Jimmy nourished his faith at Mercy Baptist Church. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 92 and a lifetime member of the VFW in New Cumberland. He is survived by his wife, Ruby L. Forester Duvall, whom he married April 27, 1985; sons, William “Shawn” Duvall and Steve Duvall; daughters, Melanie Sole (Scott) Bradley, and Nancy Gamble; grandchildren, Marlei, Carson, Gavynn, Bentley, Brystol Duvall, Danielle Duncan, Heather DiMarzio, Tiffany (Dr. Duane) Miller, Justin Tate and Brandye Peters; great grandchildren, Connor, Kennedy, Kameron, Kristen, Nia, Andrea, Zach and Abby; and sisters, Libby and Sylvia. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Duvall; daughters, Jackie Duvall Stouffer and Tammy Duvall; brothers, Steve and Bill and sister, Martha. Visitation will be Saturday 5 PM until the time of services at 7 PM Saturday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Pastor James Rhodes will preside.
