james boyd, sr.
James Anthony Boyd, Sr., 64, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his home. Born October 15, 1943 in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas Clay and Annie Myrtle Thompson Boyd. James was also preceded in death by his brothers Carl and Howard Boyd. James retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a plater operator in the Tin Mill. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and working around his house. James is survived by his wife Sharon Murray Boyd of Weirton; son James A. Boyd, Jr. and his wife Amy of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughter Anna M. Whitaker and her husband Charles of McDonald, PA; brothers Denver Boyd and his wife Vi and Kenneth Boyd and his wife Linda all of Weirton; sisters Mary Ann Rosnick of Tempe, AZ, Dorothy Boyd of Follansbee, WV, Carleen San Fillippo and her husband Joe of Weirton; Helen Lotzgeselle and her husband Tom of Washington State and Irene Connell and her husband Tom of Weirton and 14 nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
