James David ''Jamie'' Shields, Sr.

James David “Jamie” Shields, Sr., 40, of Weirton, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1963 in Globe, Arizona, son of Jeannette Lee (Kidd) Shields of Weirton and the late Howard E. Shields.
Jamie worked as an electrician and welder at Weirton Steel.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, James David Shields, Jr., Melinda Sue and Jennifer Lynn Shields, all of Weirton; their mother, Angel Shields; brothers, Howard E. Shields, Jr. and Luke B. Shields, both of Weirton, and Charles L. Shields of Parkersburg, WV; sister, Nancy E. Pearson of New Cumberland; and companion, Vicki Roberts of Weirton and her children, Brandon Barish, Daven Barish, and Sierra Rose.
Friends will be received Friday from 7-9PM and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00PM with Rev. Marvin Taylor presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

Love Min your babi gurl… Jus cant wait to see your face again and see you smiling down at me and i miss every second we spent together!! you were the best and always will be noone could ever be a better dad then whut you were and i mean it i wish you would of went to the hospital that night and maybe you would still be here with everyone you love and i still cry over you and i always will no matter whut. but always remember i love you and miss you and wish you were here!!
Its gonna be 8 years and I still miss you everyday! I loved you from the start! I hope you are resting easy and keep watching down on us. You would be so proud of all of the kids. You now have 4 beautiful grandbabies. Lil Brandon looks for the brightest start every night and told me that he wished he would of known you! I told him you was the greatest man to ever walk this earth and he will get to see you someday…Still loving and missing you Jamie!!!!
