James E. Dudley
August 11, 1916 ~ March 16, 2001
James E. Dudley, 84 of Weirton, died March 16, 2001 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1916 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late John T. and Lillie M. Gilliland Dudley. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John T. and William H. Dudley, and one sister Dorothy Ferguson.
He was retired from Weirton Steel Co., where he worked as a supervisor in the Welding shop with 42 years of service. He was 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners. He was a WWII Army veteran, and a Jehovah Witness.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John T. Gastgeb of Weirton, three nephews and five nieces.
Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Indiana.

Mr. Dudley was a good friend and neighbor. He will always have a special place in the heart of the Smay family. He took time to talk with the children and always had a story for them. He always kept an eye on everything and helped our children feel that they lived in a safe and friendly neighborhood. He will be sadly missed by all of us. His special touch with his roses and our flowers leaves us with beautiful memories.
