James Francis McGrogan 92 of Weirton passed away Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1911 in Carnegie, PA the son of the late William James and Alice Woods McGrogan. His first wife Catherine Smith McGrogan, his second wife Edna Heasley McGrogan, his grandson, Joseph McGrogan, his sister Alice Brigham and his daughter in law, Betty Jones McGrogan also preceded him. James retired from National Steel with forty years of service. He worked in the Tin Mill as a side cutter operator. He was a member of the 25-year club of Weirton Steel and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Pittsburgh, PA, and he was Catholic by faith. James is survived by two sons, James McGrogan, Joseph McGrogan and his wife Liz all of Weirton, stepson Edward Heasley and his wife Betty of Chicago, IL, sister Evelyn Muldoon of Freeport, Maine, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one step grandson and two step great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from 9:00-11:00AM the time of service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Interment will be at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV. Share tributes with his family at www.grecohertnick.com.
