james edgell, sr.
James Howard Edgell, Sr., 60, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. Born December 9, 1953 in New Martinsville, WV, James was the son of Francis and Ida Mae Horner Edgell. James was a Millwright at Weirton Steel/Arcelor Mittal for 40 years, Christian by faith, a member of the WSX 25 Year Club, and was known by all as a "Jack of all trades." In addition to his parents, James is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann Branum Edgell at home; his 3 sons, James Edgell (Michelle) of Beaufort, SC, Daniel "Adam" Edgell (Angie) of Weirton, WV and Bruce Edgell of Huntington Beach, CA; his 2 sisters, Francis Smith of Greensboro, NC and Pamela Boston (George) of Reidsville, NC; his 3 grandchildren, Ava Mae Edgell, Preston Howard Edgell, and Abigail Lynn Edgell. Visitation will be Sunday 1-3 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV where funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM. The Reverend Curt Moser will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the PKD Foundation at www.pkdcure.org

  5. All family of Dewy, I am very sorry for your loss . I worked daily with my buddy the dew fly as I called him. He spoke daily of all of you and I can see how you will miss him. Heaven will be a better place with him but we will all miss him here. My deepest condolences to all of you and may God give you strength and comfort you through this hard time.
