James "Jim" L. Anderson, Sr.

James “Jim” L. Anderson, Sr. of Weirton, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020. He was 77.
Born on April 25, 1943, in Couburn, WV. Jim was one of eleven children born to George K. Genevieve (Howe) Anderson, Sr.
Jim retired from Weirton Steel, where he worked in the Blast Furnace.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns play from the comfort of his living room. He also enjoyed boxing on pay per view.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his significant other of twenty-eight years, Stella M. Thomas; his sister: Daisy Harman; and his five brothers: George, Charles, John, Jerry, and Thomas Anderson.
Jim will be remembered with love by his sisters; Polly Hoover, Patsy (Allen) Lancaster, Rhonda Swiger, and Diane (Charles) Rice; daughters, Pamela (Charlie) Knirsch, and Virginia “Ginny” Thomas, sons, Mark (Michelle) Thomas and Mike (Darla) Thomas; five granddaughters, one grandson; four great-granddaughters;several nieces and nephews; and his son, James “Jimmy” L. (Joan) Anderson, Jr.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until the time of funeral services at 7:00 PM Saturday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Private family interment will take place on Tuesday at the Three Springs Cemetery in Weirton.
