James R. "Jim" Zeigler, Jr., 72, of Follansbee, WV died Friday, February 3, 2017, at Life Line Hospital, in Steubenville, OH. Born June 11, 1944, in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of the late James R. Zeigler, Sr. and Kathryn Mae Wolverton Zeigler. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lori Diane Zeigler; twin sister Roberta Jane Zeigler, who died at birth, and his sister, Marjory Glover. Jim loved to work. He retired from the Strip Steel Production Planning Department of Weirton Steel after 42 years of service and then continued working for 10 years as a security guard at Weirton Medical Center. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He loved his family more than anything in the world, and cherished the times he was able to spend with them. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the WVU Mountaineers. He will always be remembered as a guy who was very well loved. He is survived by his wife Kay Tice Zeigler, whom he married July 26, 1968; 2 sons Jeffrey J. (fianc Elizabeth Mohr) Zeigler of Rochester, PA and Joshua D. Zeigler of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Jodi L. (Gary) Wallace of Butler, PA; 2 sister, Mary Lou Wright of Indiana, PA, and Sue Ann (Frank) Provenzano of Columbus, OH. 3 grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Sean Patrick and Erin Marie Wallace and Madison Lynn Zeigler. Visitation will be held Monday 3-7 PM at Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Reverend Dr. Christina Hosler will officiate. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. I’m in the mail room and would be delivering mail and I would always see him. He was such a sweet man and could always make me laugh. I will miss him. I will see you in heaven one day, my friend.

I lovingly referred to him as the “Parking Nazi”, and he was always telling me to slow down or to listen to different music. He is truly loved and was a big part of the face of WMC. Jim was always kind and thoughtful, and careful to make sure you fully understood the details of the job. I am sad to hear of his passing, but feel it was privilege to have called Jim my friend.
