Jim loved taking care of and spending time with his beloved family and ever-growing circle of friends. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, skiing and knee boarding with his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, WVU and NASCAR fan. In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lorrie Jean Ford Adkins; son Brian James Adkins of the home; daughters Stacie Marie Adkins Muhart and her husband Kenny of Weirton and Amanda Jean Adkins of Venice, CA; brother Keith Adkins and his wife Veronica of Colonial Heights, VA; sister Cheryl Kissel and her husband David of Weirton and two grandsons Kenny Muhart II and Chance Preston Busby. The Pastor James Channing will officiate. Immediately following the funeral service on Friday, Jim's family invites friends and family up to their home on Weircrest.
