Janet A. Czapla, 96, of Weirton, WV, passed away June 23, 2018 at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Weirton.
Born July 8, 1921, in Weirton, Janet was a daughter of the late Jacob and Agnes Guszak Koper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley M. Czapla on October 8, 1997, and her sisters, Mildred Adyniec Perlowski, and Stella Posti as well as her brothers, Walter and Edward Koper.
Janet worked at her family’s store, and for most of her life she took care of her family and home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her church and her family.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, and the Rosary Society.
She will be remembered with love by her son, Larry Czapla and his wife Marianne of Hartland WI, granddaughter, Krista Callaghan (Brian) of Mequon, WI; and her great-grand daughter, Maya Callaghan.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:45 p.m., at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3 pm Friday, at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

Dear Larry and family, My condolences go out to you and your family on th passing of your beloved mother. She certainly adored you and always had pride in her voice when she spoke of you and your family while I cut her hair. She lived a life that women could only dream of!
