Jennie Rafacz, 86, of Weirton, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Trinity Medical Center East in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born October 5, 1917 in Yorkville, OH, daughter of the late Stanley and Nellie Gorney Zgurski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph S. Rafacz August 31, 1998; two brothers, Stanley and Chester Zgurski and one sister Sophie Chadwell. Jennie was homemaker and, during World War II, worked as a Floor Lady in the Weirton Steel Tin Mill Lacquer Room. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her son Paul J. Rafacz and his wife Sue of New Cumberland; daughters Bernice Pitcock and her husband Gary of Weirton and JoAnn Bracken and her husband Jim of Burgettstown, PA; sister Frances Wilson of Toronto, OH and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
