John James "JJ" Jurosko
June 1, 1937 ~ February 27, 2018
John James “JJ” Jurosko, 80, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Weirton Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1937 in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late John and Bessie Elliott Jurosko. He was also preceded in death two daughters, Amy Egan and Cathy Cork and half-brother Robert Jurosko.
For 37 years, JJ worked in the #7 Tandem Mill of Weirton Steel. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 688, VFW 2716, WSX 25-Year Club and the Tri-State Marine Corp. JJ enjoyed playing, and winning, euchre at the Follansbee Senior Center and the Moose Lodge. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-1959.
He is survived by his wife Mary Dalessandri Jurosko of Weirton; sons Brian (Denise) Jurosko of Jewett, OH, Jeff Jurosko of Morganton, NC, Greg (Francine) Jurosko of Carolina, WV and Tim Jurosko of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter Laura (Donald) Hurst of Lumber Port, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Arrangements by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
