  15. Dear Delores and Family…a man’s legacy is measured in the memories of friends and family he leaves behind. Joe was my Class of 55 school mate, neighbor, friend and JayCee Brother. My favorite memory is telling Joe “not to worry” (he had to sign the checks) when we were spending money we had yet to raise, to host Weirton’s first local Miss America pageant, which made him worry all the more. Joe never lost his sense of humor nor wavered in his support. Winning the WV State Miss America Pageant and going to Atlantic City helped too…A true friend and a good man. He will be greatly missed by all who experienced him in their lives. You are all in our prayers. Hopefully time and great memories will ease the pain in your hearts.

  16. Delores, I always valued Joe as a true friend of the Gallagher family. He was always good to me and helped me in every way early in my career. You are in my prayers.

  19. Dear Dolores and Family Joe is such a pleasant memory from my high school days. He was always a happy caring guy, and ended up with a wonderful wife and family. I know you will all be a comfort to each other during this most trying time. The memories are harder for a lost loved one especially during this time of such joy, but may God’s grace be your loving guide. Sincerely, Marie

  20. Danielle and Family: Please accept our heartfelt sympathies with the passing of your father and grandfather. From the comments posted, it is easy to see that he was loved by all. I am sorry I never had the opportunity to meet him. Fortunately, he is in a place where he is without pain. Plus, he will now have the best seat in the house in watching Joseph play football and Carmen and Elaina play volleyball. Our thoughts are with you. Love, Margie, Joe, Cassidy, Danny, and Matt

  21. Please accept my sympathy, he was a fine man. I was out of town and unable to pay my respects. Sincerely, Betty Jo
