Joseph Bobalick, 86, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at his home. Born April 17, 1921 in Weirton, he was the son of the late John and Ann Urich Bobalick. Joseph was also preceded in death by his sister Helen Brennan. With 25 years of service, Joseph retired from the former WSTV-TV Broadcasting Station where he served as Maintenance Engineer Supervisor. He was a member of the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Steubenville, Ohio. Joseph was a certified electronic technician and taught electronics in the Hancock County Adult School System and, for over 50 years, held the amateur radio license number W8ZAB. He was a member of the Four Seasons Senior Citizens and was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife Josephine Monski Bobalick; daughters Barbara Campbell and Rachel Bobalick; sister Irene DiFlorio all of Weirton; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a Trisagion Service will be held at 2PM. Additional visitation will be held from 10 until the 11AM Requiem Divine Liturgy at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church. The Very Reverend Father John J. Voytilla will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV where military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and Weirton Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 794 Cove Road, Weirton, WV 26062.
