Josephine Connell, 92 of Weirton died Friday March 23, 2001 at the home of her daughter, Patricia L. Brock. Mrs. Connell was a homemaker and a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church. She was born on January 3, 1909 in Toronto, OH the daughter of the late Grover and Sarah Payton Bright. She was also preceded in death by her son James E. Connell in 1944, her husband James E. Connell, Sr. 1n 1984, two grandsons, Manuel Trujillo and Steven Martin, three brothers, Chuck, Jack and George Bright, three sisters, Mildred Owens and twins Ruby and Ruth Bright. Five sons, Thomas E., Robert F., Jerome P., Tim Connell all of Weirton and John Joseph Connell of Stevensville, MD survive. Three daughters Dorothy M. Martin and Carole Ann Trujillo both of Weirton and Patricia L. Brock, survive. One brother, John R. Bright and 26 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren also survive. Visitations will be held 7-9 PM Saturday and 1-3 & 7-9 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton. A prayer service will be held 2:30 Sunday in the funeral home. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday at the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
