Joyce Shepherd, 63, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Weirton, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Mercy Hospital Mt. Airy in Cincinnati, OH. Born September 29, 1945 in Steubenville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Jule and Rachel Milano George. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jesse Jule George.
Mrs. Shepherd was a homemaker and Catholic by faith. She was an avid animal lover.
Joyce is survived by her husband Russell Shepherd, Jr. of Cincinnati; sons Frank Zapotoczny and his wife Becky of Massillon, Oh and Wayne Zapotoczny and his wife Stacy of Weirton and grandchildren Chelsie, Rachel, Wayne, Justin and Lacy Zapotoczny.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be conducted 10:30AM Friday. The Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
