Judith Ann Castilow Jones
September 12, 1934 ~ January 24, 2006
Judith Ann Castilow Jones peacefully left this earth on January 24, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Harriet Castilow. She is survived by her spouse of 49 years, Ralph “Pete” Jones of Weirton, WV. Also among her survivors include her daughters, Janice Jones of Deerpark, Texas and Susan Jones Bogarad (wife of Gary Bogarad) of Matthews, NC. “Nana” leaves behind her two grandchildren, Casey Nicole Bogarad and Elliot Martin Bogarad of Matthews, NC. Also surviving is her sister Virginia “Ginny” Konnovitch of Weirton, WV, and several nieces and nephews. In addition she leaves behind her beloved cat, Blackie.
Judy was born in Moundsville, WV on September 12, 1934. Judy was a member of the Cove United Presbyterian Church where she found joy, prior to her illness, in being a member of their Bell Choir. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She retired from Marland Heights Pharmacy. Previously she had worked at the Strip Steel Credit Union and the Peoples Bank in Weirton, WV.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be sent in her memory to the following: Alzheimer’s Association at the Youngstown area office, 3695B Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite 301, Canfield, OH 44406 and to Valley Hospice at 380 Summit Avenue, Steubenville, OH 43952.
The family wishes to thank the following for all of their assistance and support during the past few weeks: her dear friend, Judy Testaguzza, “Bella”, Roberta Kazienko for visiting weekly, the staff with Valley Hospice, Weirton Medical Center 6th and 7th floor staff, Dr. Gary Hanson, Home Helpers, and all those who provided their prayers and support.
