Judith (Judy) L. Doak, 71 of New Cumberland, WV passed away peacefully from symptoms of Early Onset Dementia at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Weirton, WV on November 9, 2018. Judy was born on July 11, 1947 in Buckhannon, WV daughter of the late Arnold and Virginia (Wilson) Brooks. She retired on May 31 2008 from her business, Doak Realty/Assist to Sell. Judy started the company and had been successfully serving the surrounding communities as a Real Estate Broker Agent for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Weirton. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Gary L. Doak; two sons John (Lindsay) Doak, Eric Doak and his fiancé Denney Snyder, her grandsons “the light of her life”, Ben and Matthew Doak, her sister Darlene (Brooks) Koontz, her Aunt “Fanny” Eileen Cook, many nieces, great nieces and cousins. Preceding her in death are her parents Arnold and Virginia (Wilson) Brooks, two sons Ben and Craig Doak, her brother Charles Brooks, her brother-in-law Jack Koontz and both sets of grandparents. Her family wants to thank the caring staffs of both Wyngate Senior Living Community in Weirton, WV and Amedisys Hospice Care for their attentive, loving care of Judy over the past 17 months and for helping and comforting the family throughout this heartbreaking journey. Visitation will be Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 from 6 PM until the time of her funeral service at 7 PM. Pastor Carol McKay will preside. Her family will have a private graveside service at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA, on Thursday.
