Julia Marie McChancy

Julia Marie McChancy, 89, of Weirton, passed away April 11, 2019 in the Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 23, 1929 in Dillonvale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia Kallay Paytors. She was preceded in death by her husband George William McChancy and brother Steve Paytors. Julia was a homemaker and a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Her life revolved around her family. She enjoyed attending family parties, playing cards with her friends and family, reading and working “find-a-word” puzzles. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. She is survived by her son William “Bill” McChancy of Weirton; daughter Sharon Huffman and her husband Ron of Quiet Dell, WV; brother Frank Paytors and his wife Carol of Weirton; sister Betty Paytors of Weirton; grandchildren Jeffrey Huffman and his wife Destiny and Brian Huffman and his companion Heather Smith and other extended family. Friends will be received Sunday 5-7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston, will officiate.
