Kathleen A. Mihalyo, 64, of Weirton died Sunday, February 27, 2011. Kathleen was born May 16, 1946, the daughter of the late Victor Selesztay and Mary Ann (Bartolovich) Selesztay Vucic. Kathleen was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, where she recently retired as Parish Secretary. Mrs. Mihalyo is survived by her husband John Mihalyo, Jr. of Weirton, whom she married in September, 1973; son John Mihalyo III and his wife Theresa of Weirton; daughter Ann Marie Quarantillo and her husband Jim of Leesburg, VA; three grandchildren Grace Marie Mihalyo, James Michael and Lucy Marie Quarantillo; brother Victor Selestay and his wife Leslie of Herndon, VA; nieces and nephews Ryan, Tracey and Brett Selestay and her mother's husband John Vucic of Weirton. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madonna High School or St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.

  1. My heart is sad for all of us today because such a precious soul is no longer with us. I know, though, that Kathy is enjoying a precious reunion with her mom and dad. I loved Kathy, spent much time with her as a child and teenager. She was a dear friend. My condolences to John, Kathy’s children, and Victor.
