Kathryn D. Schiappa, 51, of Weirton, passed away after a brief illness, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born September 23, 1964 in Steubenville, a daughter of Elio Schiappa and the late Diana (Mohn) Schiappa. She was also preceded in death by her sister Rosemarie Schiappa. Kathryn worked as a certified nurse's aide and delivered newspapers for the Herald Star. She was a member of TOPS in Wellsburg. She enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King books, knitting, playing hot dice and cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Joshua Schiappa of Fairmont, Matthew Schiappa of Weirton and Rosemarie Schiappa of Fairmont, grandchildren Ellisiona and Corleone Schiappa and Izzbella and Connor Miller, sisters Jeannie (Paul) DiPasquale of Follansbee, Delia (Luis Arellano) Schiappa of Toronto and Rosa Schiappa of Kingmon, Nephews Tom (Larisa) Andrews, Paul DiPasquale Jr., and Nico Viani and nieces Meredith Helmick, Ariel DiPasquale and Gianna Schiappa.   1. We’re so very sorry that this tragedy has happened, Kathy will be sadly missed by us and all other people whose lives that she touched. She was a great daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, niece and friend to many people. She was a happy, fun loving & living lady, and always lived her life to her fullest of her ability clear to the day of her passing …..she was all around a terrific person. We love you Kathy, and you will be sadly missed but definitely not forgotten…

  2. I just remember your voice and how you would do any thing for just about any one. I remember how you stopped by my house and i was in the basement and we talked for hours while i was doing laundry. Thank you Kathy. I havnt forgotten you. I never will. God bless you.

  3. I can’t believe your gone!!! I wish I could have seen you one last time .i will always love you boo ! You were boo before that slang ever existed! It doesn’t feel real to me… Maybe that’s better for my brain… I’ll always remember you as this crazy laid back funny girl… Never stressed always in good spirits…. I’ll always remember you my childhood friend/ cousin… I’m so sad to see you go but I hope you find peace with your mom out there… Love you both … Until we meet again … Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoox!!!!!
