Kenneth David “Kenny” Melnyk, 69, of Colliers passed away Friday June 28, 2019 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. Born March 20, 1950 at home in Burgettstown, he was a son of the late Pete and Helen Burchick Melnyk. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard (Dee) Melnyk. Kenny retired from LTV Steel in Aliquippa, PA after 34 years. He then worked for Melnyk Cleaning for ten years. He loved working in the yard while soaking up the sun. Kenny enjoyed family gatherings and always welcomed everyone to his home for holiday celebrations. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and an avid Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Terry, whom he adored; sons Peter (Aqua) Melnyk of Weirton and Brian (Rae Lynn) Melnyk of Pittsburgh; granddaughters Lexus and Jazzlyn Melnyk of Weirton; brother Thomas Melnyk of Huntington, WV; sister Dorothy Noga of Phoenix, AZ; brothers-in-law Mike (Judy K) Yacos of Toronto, OH and George (Judy) Yacos of Weirton; sister-in-law Donna Alboszta of Hudson, FL; cousin Judy Gelestor of Martinsburg, WV; nephew Steve (Kate) Noga of Weirton as well as several other nieces and nephews.
