Kenneth Ray Reed
October 11, 1954 ~ February 15, 2001
Kenneth Ray Reed, of Weirton, died Thursday February 15, at the Weirton Medical Center.
He was born October 11, 1954 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Columbus Thornton Reed, Jr. and Loretta Pearl Maxson Reed of Weirton. In addition to his father, Kenny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virgie B. Maxson.
Kenny worked for WJ Services as a custodian in the machine shop of Weirton Steel. He was a member of the Mercy Baptist Church and enjoyed being involved with the children's ministry.
Kenny is survived by his mother Loretta Pearl Maxson Reed, a brother William L. Reed, a sister Panda D. Reed, a nephew Tony L. Reed all of Weirton and many Uncles, Aunts and friends and co workers of the Weirton Steel Machine Shop.
Visitation for Kenny will be Sunday, 1-3 pm & 7-9 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, he will lie-in-state at Mercy Baptist Church, 3474 Penna. Ave., Weirton, Monday, 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery, Paris, PA.

Kenny was a very nice guy. I enjoyed his conversations and many stories. I will really miss seeing and talking to him.
Kenny, you have been part of our family since our childhood. You were a brother to us. Whenever we needed something you never hesitated to help. We will miss you deeply. Some things will never be the same, like our Christmas Eve dinners, but we know you and Judy want us to go on. You will be in our hearts forever. Love you.
kenny was a very nice person. We would always joke around with eachother, but in the end, we always knew that it was just a joke. He always saw the good side of things, and we will all miss him.
