Kim Thomas Carfagna

Kim Thomas Carfagna, 70, of Weirton, WV, died Saturday, February 1, 2020, at his home.
The son of the late Elio Alphonzo “Al” and Lois Jean Price Carfagna, Kim, was born on July 29, 1949, in Steubenville, OH.
Kim graduated from Weir High School in 1967 and furthered his education at Fairmont State College. In 1971 he joined his father as a laborer with Carfagna, Inc. A career in construction that spanned 45 years Kim retired in 2016 as the President and CEO of Jarvis, Downing & Emch.
Kim was very active with the Ohio Valley Construction Employers. He served as a board of director for twenty-two years, as the President for four years and on the executive committee for two years. He also served on the Board of Trustees O.V.C.E.C. Health and Welfare Fund and the Board of Trustees for the Ironworkers 549-550 Healthcare and Pension Fund.
In his free time, Kim enjoyed golfing, especially on the day he recorded a hole in one. He cherished the times he shared on his boat with his family and friends. Like many others in our community, Kim was an avid fan of the six-time world champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was a member of Cove Presbyterian Church for 58 years.
Kim will be remembered with love by his wife Suzette Kallos Carfagna; son, Evan William Carfagna (Anita); daughter, Kristin Nicole Carfagna of Charleston, WV; and his three grandchildren, Lucas, Alexis, and Anthony Carfagna.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, where the funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday.
Rev Christina Hosler will preside.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Kim was a great man. Huge heart. Hard Worker. He would always do anything to help someone out. I’ll miss him so much. He taught me so much. I will always cherish the time I had working with him and learning from him. His tough love was often his best love but I know I got to see a compassionate side of him that maybe some didn’t.
