Kris A. Gvoyich Stevens, 35 of Weirton died Monday March 4, 2002 at her residence.
She was born on February 8, 1967 in Weirton, WV, the daughter of George and Viola Riggi Gvoyich of Weirton.
Kris was formerly employed as an administrative assistant for the City of Weirton and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Deborah George of Weirton, Tim Stevens of Weirton,and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins survive Kris. Her beloved cats, Nikki, Alex and Bobby also survive her.
Private visitation and services will be held at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home..
Entombment will be in Saint Paul Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions in Kris’s memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Vi, George and Debbie, We were so sadden to learn of Krissy’s death. She was such a sweet and joyful person. We always appreciated how she cared for Jill as you all did. Jill is a sophomore at WVU, studying nursing. I particularly remember Kris taking care of our cat Tigger and that she was unsure of doing it. Then it turned into a love for her as I can see that she had three cats with her. We will always remember her fondly and know she was a part of our daughter’s life. May God bless and strengthen you.
