Lee Ann Cooper of Weirton passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2022. She was 65. Lee Ann was born on December 4, 1956, in Weirton, WV one of three children born to John R. and Lexie Osborne Woisnet. Lee Ann graduated from Brooke High School and shortly after met her soulmate, Ernie Cooper. Ernie and Lee Ann dated for months; were engaged for a week and were married on July 23, 1976. In 1980 they were blessed with a daughter. Ernie made a living driving a truck and Lee Ann was a dedicated and loyal hardworker. She worked with Mitchel A. Sagan, DDS, as a dental assistant. She also prepared taxes for Hewitt Jackson and later worked for Dr. N. Chinakarn. At the time of her passing, Lee Ann was working in the office of Dr. Viorica M. Crisan, MD. For fun, Lee Ann enjoyed meeting up every Wednesday with her lady friends affectionately known as the B.O.B.S. For over three decades they would go to dinner on Wednesday’s and annual trips to different destinations including Geneva on the Lake. Most of all Lee Ann will be remembered as a fantastic mother who instilled in her daughter the important things in life. Lee Ann was preceded in death by her father, John R. Woisnet on November 19, 1996 and her husband, Ernest L. Cooper, Jr. on March 18, 2002. She will be remembered with love and admiration by her mother, Lexie Osborne Woisnet, her daughter, Bryn Cooper; her two brothers, Lex Woisnet (Jill), and Ralph Woisnet; and a great group of lady friends.
