Linda Dawnette Hildreth

Linda Dawnette Hildreth, a woman known for her caring and fun and loving personality, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Villa Vista Royale in Steubenville, OH. Prior to her residency in Steubenville, OH, Linda lived throughout the Weirton area for many years. Born in Paris, PA on February 20, 1954, Linda was the adopted daughter of the late Foy and Louella Lantz. Linda was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Eric and her biological mother, Betty Lantz. Always having a passion to help and care for others, Linda acquired her LPN and entered into the home health care industry and traveled as a health aid for many years. Her travels soon took her to Kindred Hospital where she continued to care for others until her retirement. Fun was found in shopping for Linda. Perhaps the one thing Linda enjoyed more than shopping was playing bingo. Upon entering the gates of heaven, Linda surely made a few heads turn as she yelled, “BINGO!” one last time at the age of 62. Linda loved her family and friends very much. She leaves behind many who will truly miss her. Left to cherish Linda’s memory is her son, Shawn Hildreth of New Cumberland, WV; her daughter, Sherri Tello of Carson City, Mich.; her grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, and Hayden Hildreth and Mary Yates; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
