Liz (Betty) Bonovich, 75, of Weirton, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in The Laurels of Steubenville. Born June 12, 1942 in Adena, OH, she was a daughter of the late Lazo and Mary (Tollar) Bonovich. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rudy and George Bonovich, and sister, Violet Burns. For over 18 years, Liz was a server at Eat N Park in Weirton. She was also a bartender at Happy’s Restaurant in Weirton. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, B.P.O.E. 1801, American Legion Post 10, CFU 595, Weirton Moose Lodge, V.F.W. and AARP Chapter 3486. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards or a machine or two. Liz is survived by her husband Edward Bidorini of Allison Park, PA; brother Jerry (Lynn) Bonovich of Windemere, FL; and several nieces and nephews. The world has lost a precious gift in Liz. It’s a smaller world now but still a better world for having had her in it. Her generous spirit will remain with us always. Liz will be remembered by her beautiful smile and happy-go-lucky attitude. Liz never met a stranger. Her family and friends will bid a farewell visitation Tuesday 5 until the 8 p.m. funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Rev. Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate. BPOE 1801 Elks services will be conducted at 7 PM As a tribute to Liz, all visitors are encouraged to wear her favorite color red.   2. I met Liz when she was my neighbor on Arena Drive. We used to go to Starvaggi pool together in our younger days. She was always so happy & pleasant to be around. She loved to talk to everyone. When I went to Eat & Park, I always wanted her as my waitress. She was such a ray of sunshine. She will be missed!

  4. We are so sorry to hear of Liz’s passing. Liz and our family worked together for many years at Veltri’s / Fiorello’s II Restaurant, and our many memories will forever be cherished.
