lois finch goresh
Lois Mae Finch Goresh, 83, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Born August 16, 1924 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Anderson Barkhurst. Lois was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Finch and second husband Andrew Goresh, son Charles Ray Finch and brothers Harold and Alton Ray "Sonny" Barkhurst. Lois was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Heights Free Methodist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years, a pre-school teacher at the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, a volunteer at Weirton Medical Center and a member of AARP. Lois is survived by her son Timothy Finch and his wife Brenda of Burgettstown; daughter Cynthia Richards of Weirton; grandchildren Robert Richards, Dr. Steven Richards, Jonathan Finch and Jennifer Finch Freeman; six great-grandchildren and sisters Wanda Bush and Dolly Brown both of Weirton. A special thank you is being sent to her caregivers. Friends will be received Friday, May 9, 2008 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 until the 11AM funeral service at the Weirton Heights Free Methodist Church. Pastor Mike Campbell will officiate. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
