Loretta M. Fields, 63, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born May 26, 1947 in Hamilton, OH, she was a daughter of Margaret Howard.
Mrs. Fields retired from Desert Sand Hospital in Arizona where she worked as a Registered Nurse.
In addition to her mother, Loretta is also survived by her husband John Walter Fields of Weirton; sons Roy L. Evans, Jr. of Glendale, AZ, John D. Fields and James R. Fields and his wife Carolyn all of Weirton; brothers Joe Smith of Dayton, OH, David Smith, Mike Howard and James Howard all of Hamilton, OH; sisters Frances Micelli of Alexandria, KY, Judy Hensley of Hamilton, OH and Barbara Kunkle of Cincinnati, OH and grandchildren Jacob Evans and Timothy and Nathan Fields.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 11am Thursday. The Pastor John R. Keener will officiate. Private burial services will be held at the convenience of Loretta's family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
John, Roy, John Denton, and Jamie, I pray that God wraps his arms around you and gives you comfort. I loved your Mom. God Bless you all.
I am very sad to hear that Loretta passed away. I have many wonderful memories of her. I miss you all and wish I could be there to comfort you. My prayers are with you. Kathy
