Louis P. Giarletto, Sr.

Louis P. Giarletto, Sr., 91, of Weirton, died Friday, December 7, 2001, at Trinity West, Steubenville, OH. He was born on September 7, 1910 in Hazleton, PA, a son of the late Guytano and Mary (Laury) Giarletto. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline J. (Rossi) Giarletto, eight brothers, and two sisters. Louis retired from the Tri State Rubber Company with over 30 years of service. He served his country in the Army during WWII, and was a member of St. Joseph Worker Catholic Church. Louis is survived by two sons, Louis P. Giarletto, Jr. of Weirton, and Ronald J. Giarletto of Wintersville, OH; one daughter, Mrs. Chris (Mary Beth) Schrockman of Paris, PA; one sister, Sister Rosella Marie, DM of York, PA; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-3 and 7-9 PM Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where a prayer service will be held 8 PM Sunday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be 12 Noon Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton, with military services performed by the VFW #2716, American Legion Post 10, and the Tri-State Marine Corps.
