Louise "Honey" Vuckovich

Louise (Honey) Vuckovich, 95, of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, at Mary Ann Manor in Follansbee, WV. Louise was born March 20, 1925, in Weirton, the youngest of four children born to Milosh and Draginja Ivosevich Vuckovich. “Honey” as she was known to her family and friends worked at Weirton Steel in the Mill Administration for over 25 years. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, where she sang in the Petar Kristich Choir for many years. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club and their Ladies Golf Association. At the age of 87 Honey made a hole-in-one, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Honey was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club and Four Seasons. In addition to her parents, Honey was preceded in death by her sister Mildred “Babe” Vuckovich on August 18, 2020, brother Nick Vuckovich, sister Mary Yurjevic, niece Dorothy Yurjevic, great-niece Andrea Yurjevic Veal and her great-great-nephew Chad Brackett. She will be remembered with love by her nieces Elaine (Tony) Pietro and Sharon Musulin, nephews Bob (Georgianna) Yurjevic and Michael (Carol) Vuckovich, and several great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Monday from 11 am until the noon funeral service at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. The Very Rev. Father Rajko Kosic will preside. Interment will follow in the Serbian Cemetery, Weirton, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Cemetery Fund, c/o 528 North 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952.
