Luanna Belle “AnnaBelle” Johnston, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on July 17, 2021, at Liza’s Place, after a brief illness. She was 72. On October 1, 1948, in Fairmont, WV, AnnaBelle was the first of three daughters born to Fred R. and Thelma Ash Anderson. She graduated in the Class of 1966 from Valley High School in Pine Grove, WV. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart and they moved to Weirton, WV. Together AnnaBelle and Robert were blessed with three sons. Robert worked at Weirton Steel and AnnaBelle took care of their home. For five years, AnnaBelle worked outside her home as a receptionist for the Weirton Salvation Army. She loved to make crafts, color, and paint with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and spending time with family and friends. AnnaBelle was a member of Weirton Salvation Army, Woman’s Home League, and was a volunteer at Weirton Medical Center. In addition to her parents, Fred and Thelma, AnnaBelle was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Michael “Mikie” Johnston, Jr. She will be remembered with love by her husband, Robert Michael Johnston; her sons, Fred (Lisa) Johnston and Christopher (Samantha) Johnston; daughter in law, Shelly "Scooter" Clevenger Johnston; her sisters, Theresa (Chip) Ingram and Fredina “Dina” Anderson; grandchildren, Shayna, Maria, Lacey, and Kaydan; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Layla, Aliyah, Jada, Jia, and Dorian “D.J.”; and great- great-granddaughter, Lay-Lay. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at the Greco – Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held at 7 PM Pastor Chip Ingram will preside.
