Madge D. McDougle

Madge D. “Grandma Madge” McDougle, 95, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at The Wyngate Senior Living Community, Weirton. She was born August 11, 1922 in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late K. B. and Dessie Fluharty Sellers. She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond G. McDougle on March 31, 1994, 9 brothers and 4 sisters. Madge retired from the former WSTV where she worked as a custodian and was Protestant by faith. She loved taking bus trips to Nashville, playing bingo, puzzles and listening to country music. Madge is survived by her sons Donnie (Judy) Ridgway of Follansbee; Robert “Butch” (Diana) Ridgway of New Cumberland and Raymond “Jay” (Sally) McDougle, Jr. of Luray, VA; daughter Shirley (Joseph) Licata of Weirton; grandchildren Shirl Licata, Jo-Lyn (Steve) Himmelrick, Dale and Vern Ridgway, Michael (Andy) Ridgway, Timothy (Bobbie) Ridgway, Kevin (Rachel) Ridgway, Desiree, Danielle, Shannon McDougle and great-grandchildren Leah and Travis Himmelrick, Tyler, Mia, Ross, Toree and Christian Ridgway and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Dr. Ed Rudiger will officiate. Interment will be in Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne, WV.
