Margaret "Julie" McQuade

Margaret “Julie” McQuade, 79, of Weirton passed away Saturday December 8, 2018, at her home. The daughter of the late Robert E. and Margaret Barrett Campbell , Julie was born on March 29, 1939, in Saint Louis, MO. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ernest McQuade on June 27, 2015. Julie could best be described as a lady always willing to help others. She was a homemaker, EMT and volunteered her time making sure area children were safe. She founded the W.I.N.K. program that provided a safe house and kept an eye on neighborhood kids. In addition she donated area DNA kits for parents to record the DNA of their children, in the event they were ever missing. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and she also liked to sew. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her three sons, Gregory Stoneking of Weirton, WV, Dan Rush of Phoenix AZ and Doug Kelly of Illinois and her grandchildren, Wendi Kuster, Emily, Jessica, and Anthony Stoneking, Jacob, Scarlet and Lydia Rush and Kevin, Meagan and Ryan Kelly.. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6PM until time of funeral services at 7:30 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will preside.
