Marie F. Dunn, 60 of Weirton died Friday March 23, 2001 at her home.
Marie was born on March 27, 1940 in Burgettstown, PA, the daughter of the late Biago and Clara Morelli Tunno. Her brother, Angelo Tunno and her sister, Rose Smarrella, also preceded her in death.
Marie graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Marie retired after 20 years from Weirton Medical Center as Vice President of Support Services. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, past chairman of the board of Valley Hospice; past chairmen of the board of Healthways; past chairman of the WVNCC Friends of the College; past chairman of WV Regional Health Advisory Committee; American Red Cross and the Ponderosa Golf League.
Her husband, John G. Dunn and her two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Maria) Royce of York, PA and Malisa Scruppi, of Imperial, PA, five grandchildren Elliot, Kevin, Katy, Sarah, Rachel all survive. Marie has three brothers surviving and two sisters, David Tunno of Meridan, MS; Alphonso Tunno of Azusa, CA; Joseph Tunno of Burgettstown, PA; Esther DeSantis of Steubenville and Mrs. Gerald (Clara) Robinson of Weirton.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.

Went thru the MBA program with Marie at Franciscan. She was a fine lady, and will be missed by all who knew her.
I am sorry that I will be unable to personally share my condolences with the family during the hours of visitation. I would like you to know that I worked with Marie on some projects with Weirton Steel and Weirton Medical Center. Marie was a very kind and intelligent lady and will be greatly missed. I worked with Marie at WMC. I was Dr. Beynon’s secretary. Your mother was a wonderful and kind person. I talked to her last about a year ago at the K-Mart, I believe she was getting ready for a trip to the beach with the grandchildren. She was so happy and proud of her children and grandchildren.
