Marie Jones, 100, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born March 15, 1911 in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late William and Clara Sierzega Semko. She was also preceded in death by her husband George J. Jones who died July 8, 1990, brothers Louis and Henry Semko, sisters Josephine Tokarz, Frances Atherton, Alma Gulasi and great grandson Landon Samuel Fiedorczyk. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. Marie is survived by her sons George and Linda Jones and Robert "Bob" Jones and his companion Frances Dasta Muni; daughter Elizabeth "Betty" and Stanley Fiedorczyk all of Weirton; grandchildren Dan and Cheryl Fiedorczyk, Terri Bertha and fianc Tim Crago, Debbie and Alan Pritts, Anita and Brad Butler, Stanley and Melissa Fiedorczyk, Marybeth Jones, Steven Jones, Chris and Sherree' Jones, John Jones and David Jones; great-grandchildren Joe Bertha, Natalie Bertha, Leah and Charles Batiz, Ansley Fiedorczyk, Chelsey Pritts, Alanna Pritts, Brianna Fiedorczyk, Samantha Jones, Jacob Jones, Makenzie Jones, Gabrielle Jones, Mary Lynn Jones, Amber Jones, Briana Jones, Alysea Fiedorczyk and Ciara Fiedorczyk and great-great grandchildren Shaun Fiedorczyk, Chloe Batiz, Braelyn Fiedorczyk and Sasha Bolling. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12 noon Thursday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church with Father Dean Borgmeyer officiating. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062 or Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, P. O. Box 2247, Weirton, WV 26062.
