Marie K. DeCollo, 92, of Weirton, died Monday, February 2, 2004 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born May 27, 1911 in Midland, PA, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Calabrese) Boniti. Her husband, Constantine A. DeCollo; one grandson, Daniel Fijewski; two brothers, Elmer and Daniel Boniti; five sisters, Emma Collo, Margaret Bernardi, Laura Julian, Viola D’Agostino and Rose Ciccolella also preceded her. Marie was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, K of C Auxiliary, Sons of Italy and Three Score Seniors. Marie’s survivors include her son, Robert (Carol) Valenti; daughters, Chris (Boyd) Barker and Judy (Max) Fijewski; brother, Alfred Boniti, all of Weirton; 4 grandchildren, Debbie Valenti Garrison, Robert Valenti, Brian Fijewski and Marcie Fijewski-Easton; and 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Matthew, Robbie Valenti, Max Fijewski and Samatha Easton. Friends will be received 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where prayer services will be held at 7 PM Thursday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Rev. Father Douglas Sutton presiding. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church or St. Joseph’s School, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.   7. Sorry about the loss of your mother, I enjoyed taking care of her she was alot of fun on the unit. I’ll never forget the time she came up to me and danced with me and when I fixed her hair she told me I’m in the wrong profession. She will be missed very much. God Bless You and your family…
