Marisa Dawn Licata

Marisa Dawn Licata, 34, of Queens, New York, formerly of Weirton, was received into the arms of her Lord Wednesday, August 01, 2007.
Marisa was born February 16, 1973 in Weirton, WV, the daughter of Charles James and Donna Kaye (Bever) Licata.
Marisa worked for United Airlines for 14 years and was a world traveler having visited Hawaii four times and Europe once. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was on the Dean’s List at LaGuardia Community College in New York where she attended classes.
In addition to her parents, Marisa is survived by three brothers, Christopher, Michael, and Jared Licata, all of Weirton; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Bever; and two nieces, Isabella and Vanessa Licata. Marisa also leaves behind many friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 08, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00AM Thursday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Committal will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
Donations in memory of Marisa can be made to Saint Paul Church or Saint Paul School.

WOW I’m stunned. For alot of years you and I didn’t talk, for whatever reason or another, but we did have those years when we were the best of friends!! Me, you and Kim hanging out, having fun, doing what girls do. I wish we could have overcome our difference…there are too many words left unspoken. I will see you again someday. Rest in Peace.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Licata, I was in school with Marisa at St. Paul’s. I probably haven’t really seen her since the 2nd grade, but was still saddened when my mother told me the incredibly sad news. May she rest in peace and may God comfort your broken hearts.

Dear Donna and Family, I just found out last night Marisa passed away. I’m sorry for your loss. She was my best friend throughout high school. We lost touch over the years but I never stopped caring about her. Marisa was a great friend and we had a lot of fun. I have many fond memories of times we shared.
