Mariyah Lynn Taylor, infant daughter of Kimberly Charlene Taylor of Weirton, was born Thursday, August 26, 2004 and died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, James Johnson; great aunt, Veronica Richards; and cousin, Zelda Elizabeth Taylor.

Mariyah was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her mother, Kimberly, Mariyah is survived by her maternal great grandmother, Mattie Johnson of Weirton; maternal grandparents, Jamie Charlene Johnson of Weirton and Alan Taylor of Cadiz, OH; step-grandfather, John K. Baublitz of Weirton; great aunts, Kimberly Huffman and her daughter Melissa of Weirton, Elaine Olshenske and her husband Mark of Pittsburgh, and Mattie Scicchitano and her husband Anthony of Maryland; great uncle, Jack Richards; aunt, Nicole Taylor and her fiancee Rusty Bennett; uncle, Jimmy Taylor and his wife Jessica; and cousins, Matthew Bennett and Zachary Taylor, all of Weirton.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 AM until time of services at 11 AM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Pastor James Rhodes will preside. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

  2. Kim im very sorry to hear bout Mariyah. I really wanted to come to the funeral but i knew i would get very upset and i might of went back into contracting. And im very sorry i couldnt make it there. I wish you and KJ the best of luck and i dont know how it feels to lose a daughter or son but i know whut it is like to lose a dad and if thats nething close then i know whut your goin through. I was good friends and neighbors of Mattie and Jim Johnson (and Kim and Elaine and Jamie and “Buffy”) on Hillcrest Road many years ago.   4. I only got to meet Mariyah once but when I met her she took my breathe away. I know God has him in his arms and is taking good care of her. She was so young and so precious.
