Markella Mousadis

Markella Mousadis, 86, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born July 22, 1929 in Vavilla Chios, Greece, a daughter of the late Seredis and Stella Souvaliotis. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gust Mousadis in 2004; brother Niko and sisters Eleni, Maria and Argyro. Mrs. Mousadis was a homemaker who loved cook for her family and friends. She was a member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochos Society and Daughters of Penelope, Pallas Athene Chapter #276. Involvement in the All Saints Church was a very important part of her life. Markella is survived by Gust's children Mike Mousadis and Mary Anne Geiseler, her Godson Gary Stamoulis and his wife Jessica of Baltimore, MD and her church family at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation will be held Sunday 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Monday from 1 until the 2PM funeral service at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
