Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Lucy, Stan, Pam & Stacy My deepest sympathy at this time of sadness at the loss of Marlene. I am thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. Your former neighbor, Karen.

  2. I just don’t know what to say at a time like this… I will always remember the days of working with her at the dinor, though. Peeling 100 pounds of potatoes with Marlene was like, well, nothing you’ve heard before. And when someone tried to run out without paying, or if they were harassing me for whatever reason, there she was with her fists up in the air. I’m very happy I moved back to Weirton for a few years. I’ve become much closer to all of you… Aunt Lucy, Stan, Pam, and, again, Marlene. I wish I were ther for all of you. I’ll bet my money on this, though… she’s probably up there, trying to get back down here so Aunt Lucy won’t worry about her, and Uncle Johnny is trying to calm her down… he must be chasing her for miles. Love always, Jeff

  3. My heartfelt sympathy to Aunt Lucy and family, Marlene will be missed by so many of us who remember her wonderful lighthearted way of looking at life. I remember when she lived here in Nebraska with us for a while. She was always smiling and making the world seem so simple. How I always missed that about her when she moved back home. I know she’s there with her father, our other Aunts, Uncles, grandparents, other relatives, and my mother Sarah. I know she’ll feel the love of her mother through my mother, where she’ll be happy forever in God’s house. I wish I could be there to comfort you all but since I can’t please know I’m sending my love and sympathies to all of you. Karen Porter (Herndon) and family

  4. Aunt Lucy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. I remember Marlene as being so fun loving and when my family visited when I was a child, I thought of her as the big sister I never had. My mom, Sarah, was very fond of her and I know they are enjoying each other’s company again. Aloha, Sherry Jean

  5. Aunt Lucy, I remember coming to Weirton to visit many summers and spending many hours eating Pistachios and playing cards with Marlene. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May knowing that she is with the Lord comfort you. Love, Dede Fitzpatrick (Herndon)

  6. Aunt Lucy and family, My love and prayers are with you as we mourn the loss of Marlene. She was very special to all of us and will be greatly missed. May God’s blessing be upon you during this difficult time. Denise Novak (Herndon)

  7. Dear Stan and Family, We are so very sorry for your loss…May God bless and keep you during this difficult time…

  8. Dear Mrs. Haber: So sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing. Her picture is beautiful. She has changed so little over the years. She was always a very nice person to me. Sorry for your loss. Annetta
