Martha “Jean” Oliver, 86, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the Weirton Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1933 in Troutville, VA, the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Virginia Moran Hinchee. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Oliver on August 9, 2013, son in law John Heiserman, daughter in law Audrey Oliver and brother in law Frank Sevastacis. Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She was an avid card player, especially Euchre. Jean was an excellent dancer and loved to square dance and clog. She and Jim traveled in their early years and moved to Florida in 1977, where she resided until returning to Weirton in 2016. She is survived by her son James E. Oliver of Astor, FL; daughters Brenda (Bill) Green and Linda Heiserman all of Weirton and Lori (Donnie) Scheunemann of Altoona, FL; sister Shirley Sevastacis of Templeton, CA; grandchildren Patrick Heiserman, Stephanie Suttinger, James Oliver, Michael Whitesides, Jason Schunemann, Beth Watson and Mandy Aries and 12 great-grandchildren. Jean’s request for cremation will be honored. Friends will be received Saturday from 5 until the 6pm memorial service at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Larry Barkley will officiate.   1. “Grandma Jean”and I became friends the day we met. She loved to watch The Price is Right, and she loved Wheel of Fortune. She would challenge me. She also enjoyed playing scrabble and boy could she play. She would show no mercy in beating you. Jean loved to get her hair done and go out to eat. She loved her cat K K also.
