Mary J. Guio Ferguson, 92, of Weirton died Tuesday August 30, 2016, in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born on June 5, 1924 in Weirton, WV, Mary was a daughter of the late Milan and Anna Tomas Baltich. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William Guio and Frank Ferguson; her two sisters, Eleanor Ferrari and Ann Vuckovich; and her grandson, Aaron Guio. Mary was a homemaker, who was previously employed by Weirton Steel during World War II. She was a member of the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, Weirton, Ladies Altar Society, AARP, Four Seasons, and the Loyal Order of the Moose 688. Mary was a very talented bowler. In her leisure she enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and playing bingo She is survived by her two sons, Gary Guio (Cheryl) and Larry Guio all of Weirton, WV; a granddaughter, Jeannine Weber; her great grandchildren, Milanna, Michael, and Stella Truxall, and Alex Guio; and special friend, Debra Moore. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Parastas services will be held Thursday at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Friday at the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church 604 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV Rev. Fr. John Kopcha will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Weirton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Nicholas Memorial Fund.
