Mary (NaNa) Porco
December 1, 1928 ~ April 1, 2011
Mary Eurina (NaNa) Porco, 82 of Weirton passed away April 1, 2011 at the Laurel's of Steubenville. She was born December 1, l928 in New Cumberland, WV the daughter of the late Hugh and Josephine Gocchi Tate. Her husband John B (Pat) Porco, brothers Joseph (Tom) and George Tate and infant twins, Matthew and Mark also preceded her in death.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of St Paul Roman Catholic Church. For many years Mary was a familiar sight at Weirton Termite Baseball and Weirton Steelers games, volunteering her time at the concession stands.
She is survived by her son, John M. (Mike) Porco and his fiance' Cathy Cooper; daughters Theresa Jenkins, Madona Smearman and her husband Dennis of Weirton; grandchildren Boyd (Bo) and Sherman Landy; two step grandchildren Brian Smearman and Denise Speer and five step great grandchildren; and sister Ramona (Boots) Hines of New Cumberland, WV.
Visitation will be Monday April 4, 2011 from 6-8PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be Wednesday, 11AM at St Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Interment will be at St Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
