Mary Ann Mazeska
August 18, 1921 ~ January 26, 2005
Mary Ann Mazeska, 83, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 18, 1921 in Stewartsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Beirnat Volegol. Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her husband George Mazeska on September 15, 1963, her brothers Joseph and John Volegol and her sister Clara V. Morton.
Mary Ann worked in the Weirton Steel Dining Room. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, AARP and served as a Senior Citizen Nursing Home Volunteer.
Mary Ann’s survivors include her son John L. Mazeska and his wife Agnes of Colliers, WV; a sister Mrs. Paul (Victoria C.) McPherren of Walnut Creek, OH and grandson Brian Mazeska.
The family will receive friends 11AM until 12PM Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated following visitation at 12PM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton with Monsignor Patrick Fryer presiding.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee.
